Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of webtoonme.com and the WebtoonMe comic creator (the "Service"). By creating an account, tapping Get started, buying credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The English version of these Terms is the official version.

WebtoonMe is an AI-assisted tool for creating webtoons and comics: story setup, characters, outline, script, art, export, and optional print shipping. Features may change, and some capabilities depend on signing in, credits, a bring-your-own API key, or third-party providers being available.

You can use local mode on your own device. Cloud sync, sharing, credits, and print orders require an account.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us if you believe access was compromised. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are abusive or fraudulent.

Paid generation uses prepaid credits purchased through Stripe. First-time purchases start at $5; later minimums may be higher as shown in the app. Credits are deducted when we run AI for you. Pricing includes a platform fee over underlying model costs.

Optional free trial or promo credits may be offered on the terms shown at claim time, including one-time or per-user limits. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account suspension.

Print book orders are separate purchases. Shipping details, price, and fulfillment timing are shown at checkout. Delivery depends on the printer and carrier; delays can happen.

If you supply your own Google Gemini or Anthropic API key, you use that provider under their terms and billing. We do not charge credits for BYOK generation. You are responsible for keeping your key confidential and for any usage billed by that provider.

You retain rights in stories, photos, and other materials you upload ("Your Content"). You grant WebtoonMe a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service — including sending it to AI and storage providers you use through WebtoonMe, generating comics, cloud-saving projects, and showing public share links you create.

You represent that you have the rights needed to upload Your Content (including photos of people) and that it does not infringe others' rights or violate law.

Generated scripts, designs, and images are produced by third-party models. Output can be inaccurate, similar to other work, or unexpected. You are responsible for reviewing output before you publish, share, print, or commercially use it.

We do not guarantee that output is unique, error-free, or free of third-party claims. Subject to those providers' terms and applicable law, we do not claim ownership of comics you generate with the Service.

You may not use the Service to:

• Break the law or infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Create or share sexual content involving minors, or any exploitative content.
• Upload malware, scrape the Service unreasonably, or interfere with its operation.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts, projects, or non-public systems.
• Misrepresent AI-generated work as human-created where disclosure is required.
• Resell, wrap, or automate the Service in a way that circumvents credits or rate limits.

Share links are public. Anyone with the URL can view the shared preview until you revoke it. Do not share content you are not willing to make public.

The WebtoonMe name, site, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you a right to copy the product, reverse engineer it except as allowed by law, or use our marks without permission.

The Service depends on providers such as Google, Anthropic, Stripe, Amazon Web Services, Appwrite, Supabase, and (for some guest images) tmpfiles.org. Their terms and availability apply. We are not responsible for outages or policy changes by those providers.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generation will succeed, that images will persist without an account, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WebtoonMe and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for credits or print orders in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, the limit applies to the maximum extent allowed.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) remain in effect.

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
